My New MM Build
Ok here's what ive been trying:
16 Death(12+1+3)
10 Soul Reaping(9+1)
9 Communing
3 Restoration
1.Pain(good dmg to help kill some guys)
2.Dissonance(an interupt skill..kinda pricey energy wise but SR makes up for it)
3.Flesh Golem(o yea baby...played w/ him all 2day and he kicked ass...did like 70-100 dmg to jade casters and like 30-50 to the warriors...attacks slow but rocks my world lol)
4.Bone Fiend(stil great dmg dealers)
5.Vamp. Horror(dominates everything and makes the sac worth it)
6.Blood of the Master(great during battle minion healer from afar and great healer period...bugged *cough* heals ally's minions too *cough*)
7.Veratas Sac(May take out..not sure if ive found anything worth it tho)
8.Flesh of My Flesh(gotta love a having a hard rez)
This build could still use some work. For one thing veratas doenst seem to be working effeciently enough. I rarely use it...w/ the spirits I can usually summon 6-10 minions every fight and I usually only heal my minions inbetween grps if I stil have a golem. This build is great for working w/ henchies and has allowed me to do many quests by myself. Also it works good w/ other ppl and my minion output seems to be enough to tank and deal loads of dmg. Flesh Golem is amazing!!!!!!I am looking for a combo to help him out attack speed wise but doubt u can increase it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

O-kay... Is this for PvE then, I'm guessing?
At 9 Communing, you say 'Pain' gives good damage... Let's see here. 14 damage a hit. And they don't hit very fast. Okay, if you say so.
Disenchantment... I think you'll find that's not the interrupting spirit.
Flesh Golem, yeah I like that guy too. Same for Bone Fiends.
I hate Vampiric Horrors... I think "dominates everything" may be a slight exaggeration but alright.
Blood of the Master... Fair enough but you have no self heal other than the Vampiric Horrors. You're going to be a real burden on the healer. NPC or otherwise.
Verata's Sacrifice doesn't seem worth it any more, usually.
Flesh of my Flesh is a good hard res for PvE.
You say you're looking into IAS for your Golem; as far as I'm aware, that's not possible. You could however, since you're already using Communing, take Brutal Weapon, which would increase his damage by 11 on every strike at your level. Considering his attack speed, probably not worth it.
How does your energy hold up? You seem to have quite a lot of high energy spells here and no energy management bar Soul Reaping.
Anyway... This is more or less random thoughts and I have a short attention span. I'll comment further if you give a damn, though... lol

Pain: 14 dmg is good to have as a compliment to henchies or allies to get a quick kill and a flesh gloem out

Yes I did exaggerate w/ the vamp horrors, but I stil think that they rock and help w/ healing a ton(even when saccing during battles I rarely dont have full health)

As for being a burden..not rly the case. I only sac during battles when the vamp horrors r healing me or inbetween battles when theres a long distance to next enemeies, where my natural regen would heal me fine.

I agree w/ the verats statement but can't find a suitable replacement... not rly a fan of brutual weapon.

Energy wise im fine w/ the 10 soul reaping. Thats another reason I brought pain..5 energy to cast...10 energy when it dies(5energy gain isnt amazing but good enough)...Dissonance does cost a lot but I use it only in big battles when there are lots of casters and more than one monk(it prolly wouldnt hurt to find a replacement but w/e)....Your also rite that this build could use some work...that's why I posted it..I like the feed back and want to make it better...just b/c some stupid patch nerfed my old way of MMing doesnt mean im gonna give up...it still my favorite thing to do and the way i see it all this patch has done is weeded out the bad MM who cant even think enough to make their build better

am I right in thinking that you specifically want to use the given attributes, mostly Necro-some Ritualist, or would you be willing to mix things up? If so, to what degree?
I don't like having 3 Animate spells. In my opinion it's too much. I find 1 or 2 to be good. Also I'm having trouble trying to find reasons to justify using Communing skills with a MM build. They just don't seem to synergize too well.
Instead of Pain, since you have 16 Death Magic, I'd much rather take Deathly Swarm, which deals 84 cold damage on up to 3 targets. You could even take Deathly Chill instead of Dissonance, too. Between the two of them you can deal some quite nice direct damage to help out when your minion count is low.
Here's a suggestion off the top of my head. I'm not saying it'll work well, but it looks fun to try and if you're bent on using Ritualist skills...
Death Magic .......... 16
Soul Reaping .......... 9
Channeling Magic .... 10
Restoration Magic ... Remainder
1. Deathly Swarm
2. Deathly Chill
3. Ancestors' Rage
4. Splinter Weapon
5. Animate Flesh Golem
6. Animate Vampiric Horror
7. Blood of the Master
8. Flesh of my Flesh
Deathly Swarm and Chill for direct damage, Ancestors' Rage and Splinter Weapon do some pretty cheap AoE damage, rest is obvious.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying this will work. I can't play right now and this is just an idea.

I am willing to mix things up keeping to the basis of N/Rt w/ 16 death magic and some pts in soul reaping...other than that w/e combinations you would like.

I almost dont count flesh gloem as an animate spell since you can only have one therefore giving you two other types of minions to make up your army(lol if you call 10 an army lol)...as for the communing skills...it doesnt really have to be communing...I just picked that one casue i felt like it lol...rly the point is to summon spirits thus giving you some extra dmg/healing and energy when they die to help kill enemies and spawn minions. Like ive said before this build needs work, but I think if we stick to something like a MM w/ spirirts we can get a viable build that will be a great asset in PvE.
I will continue to experiment w/ this build and yours Rion..looks like we are at least making some progress lol.
